Preparation Method of Nutmeg Pickle

Preparation Time: 40-50 Mins

Ingredients:
  • Fresh Nutmeg – 10 Nos
  • Garlic (Sliced) – 2 Nos
  • Mustard Powder – 1/2 Tablespoon
  • Fenugreek Powder – 4 Tablespoon
  • Asafoetida – 3/4 Tablespoon
  • Salt – 1 Pinch
  • Gingely (Sesame) Oil – 75 ml
  • Vinegar – 1/3 Cup

Preparation Method:

  1. Heat a Pan and Pour Gingely (Sesame) Oil
  2. Add Garlic and Ginger once the oil is heated and sauté till the raw smell is reduced
  3. Put the Nutmegs and sauté further till it’s all cooked.
  4. Remove the Pan and keep the mix aside to cool.
  5. Dry fry the Mustards and Fenugreeks in a pan and Grind them as powder after letting it cool for a while.
  6. Mix the grounded powder to the already fried Nutmeg mix and add Asafoetida.
  7. Add Salt according to the taste preference and mix well.
  8. Once the mixture gets completed, switch off the flame and keep the dish to cool for an hour.
  9. Pour the Vinegar to the dish after it and keep it aside for 5 days.
  10. Now the tasty and healthy recipe is ready to serve thereafter.
